Yamaha MT-15

Yamaha MT-15 is a Pure-bred hyper naked bike and streetfighter version of R15 V3. It is one of the most dynamic lightweight motorcycles, with an intimidating style and amazing performance.

Yamaha MT 15 Price: The Yamaha MT 15 price in Nepal is Rs. 5,24,900 for the standard BS6 variant. Likewise, the white-coloured variant is set at Rs. 5,28,900. 

Yamaha MT 15 Design: The MT 15 retains its previous design and style, which was inspired by its elder sibling, MT 09. The unique transformer-style front fairing with LED headlights is the most striking visual feature of this bike. A wide handlebar, a finely shaped fuel tank with sharp shrouds, and an exposed tail section all contribute to the motorcycle's sporty look. Furthermore, its alien-like appearance easily draws a lot of attention. Yamaha now offers a new Ice Fluo-Vermillion colour scheme and the Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black in the BS6 model. Additionally, you get different colour options in CYW (Customize Your Warrior). 

Yamaha MT 15 Engine: Talking about the performance, Yamaha MT-15 is now powered by a much-anticipated BS6-compliant 155cc, liquid-cooled, inline single-cylinder engine. It delivers 18.5 PS of max power at 10,000 rpm and a torque of 13.9 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The numbers are a little less compared to the previous BS4 model. However, it is now much more refined and has better fuel efficiency. The fuel-injected motor is connected to a six-speed transmission along with an assist and slipper clutch. Moreover, the Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) and in-built side stand engine cut-off switch are some other performance features of the bike. 

Yamaha MT 15 Mileage: The motorcycle is equipped with a 10 litres capacity fuel tank. As per the company, the claimed fuel mileage of the BS6 engine is about 45 Kmpl.

Yamaha MT 15 Dimensions: The new Yamaha MT 15 weighs just 138 kg, which contributes to an excellent power-to-weight ratio. It also features an 810mm saddle height, 170mm ground clearance, and a 1335mm wheelbase.

Yamaha MT 15 Hardware: MT 15 BS6 still comes with the same delta box chassis and suspension as the previous variant. It comes with conventional telescopic forks upfront and a new linked type Monocross in the back. Braking duties are handled by a 282mm front disc and a 220mm disc unit at the rear section. The bike also features a standard single-channel ABS. Furthermore, Yamaha is now providing a radial tyre on the rear wheel as part of the BS6 upgrade.

Yamaha MT 15 Features: MT 15 has the same fully digital dashboard that shows a speedometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, odometer, and tachometer. Interestingly, it now comes with a negative display alongside the gear shift indicator.

Yamaha MT 15 Rivals: Talking about competitors, it will go face to face against its sibling FZ 25, Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
