Yamaha R15M

Yamaha R15M is another variant of the R15 V4. Furthermore, it claims to take the racing quotient to next level with new design elements, graphics, and unique features.

Yamaha R15M Price: The Yamaha R15M price in Nepal is Rs. 6,33,900. It is also more expensive by Rs. 30,000 than the base V4 variant. 

Yamaha R15M Design:  The design of R15M is inspired by the new Yamaha R7, which made its global premiere in May of this year. The greatest change is that the 155 cc models are now in accordance with the brand's R-DNA. Notable changes include a new single bifunctional Class-D LED headlamp with DRLs on both sides. The new 3D Logo on the fuel tank gives a high-end look to the bike. Similarly, the anodized blue fork caps, bodywork, and carbon-like seat cover are other new design elements. It now has a highly aerodynamic fairing, making it the sportiest track racing bike on the market. Furthermore, the R15M is available in a single color scheme: Metallic Grey.

Yamaha R15M Engine: The 155cc, liquid-cooled, FI engine, powers Yamaha R15M which produces 18.4PS of max power and 14.2Nm torque. When compared to the V3.0, power is slightly lower but torque has increased by 0.1 Nm. It comes with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. In addition, the BS6-compliant motor has Variable Valve Actuation (VVA).

Yamaha R15M Mileage: The R15M has an 11-liter fuel tank and a claimed mileage of 40 kilometers per liter.

Yamaha R15M Dimensions: This racing bike is lightweight and weighs only under 142 kg. Because the seat height is just 815mm, it will be acceptable for riders even with small heights. Similarly, the motorcycle comes with 170mm of ground clearance.

Yamaha R15M Hardware: The Yamaha R15M stands on a delta box frame and has brand-new Golden Upside-down (USD) front forks. As for the rear suspension, it comes with the same preload-adjustable Mono shock. The brakes are handled by a 282mm front disc with a twin-piston caliper and a 220mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper. Dual-channel ABS is standard for further safety. The R15 Version 4 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with 100/80 tyre in the front. Another significant change to the bike is a larger 140/70 radial tubeless rear tyre.

Yamaha R15M Features: R15M has a digital Instrument cluster that supports Bluetooth communication via the Yamaha Y-Connect app.

Yamaha R15M Rivals: Talking about the competition, it will face the KTM RC 200 and the Suzuki Gixxer SF.
